SAMaJYC

‘SAMaJYC’ – we pronounce it ‘Say Magic!’ Its formal name is ‘SAlbans Masorti Jewish Youth Charity’.

The charity was originally formed in order to allow us to apply for funding from organisations interested in supporting our youth. The formal objectives of the charity are:

The advancement and promotion of traditional Jewish education in a social and recreational environment for Jewish young people.

Our aim is to obtain funding for projects that make a real difference to our young people, the future leaders of our community.

A registered charity (number 1123557), SAMaJYC has six trustees as well as a fundraising committee.

Since its formation in 2004, SAMaJYC has brought in over £30,000 from a variety of sources – including the Children’s Aid Committee, the Lord Ashdown Charitable Trust, the Childwick Trust, the Jewish Youth Fund and even the National Lottery – Awards for All.

Our biggest project ever is helping to fund our very own youth and community centre. Special thanks to the Children’s Aid Committee and the Childwick Trust for their continuing and generous support.

SAMaJYC does not actively seek individual donations from within the community. The best way you can help us is to inform the fundraising committee of any personal contacts you might have within charitable organisations.

Please get in touch with SAMaJYC via the SAMS office for more details by calling us on 01727 860642 or use the form on THIS PAGE.
